My nation Austria-Hungary got involved in WWI because serbia killed the archduke and we wanted revenge, but they got there allies to back them up and we got ours, so the war begun. We were devistated by the archdukes death.
Week 2,December 15
Our battle plan is simple. Destory the enemy. We will use grenades, airplanes, and machine guns to win the war and defeat Serbia. Our goal with propaganda was to make you want to fight for your conutry. Serbia didnt meet my countries demands. Also Russias leaving was good and bad for us. Because they left we can focus on less conutries. But the USA is entering the war and there a big country to fight. Week 3,Break
Today is Christmas. A very happy time, but not here. Not in war. But yesterday, Christmas eve I witnessed a very weird and strange sight. Some English and U.S soldiers came over shouting "Come here I want to talk, its almost Christmas!" We laughed and talked, and exchanged gifts like chocolate and jam. I even saw a couple Germans and British playing soccer in kilts.
Week 4,January 5
Since my nation is on Germanys side, our reaction to the Treaty of Versailles is one of anger. Because Germany was forced to sign and end the war, so were we. We want revenge for the death of Archduke, but I guess we will have to wait.
Poem There's war around me. And its not pretty.
I hear gun shots and grenades all day.
I hope and pray it ends soon.
Even tough I know it wont.
But I keep my head up, and a smile on my face.
Because I won't let this war bring me down.
